 Singularity LT-AERO is a sprayable, low temperature activating formulation of Singularity, suited to application on metals, composites, polymers, etc., and suited to the needs of the Aerospace community. It is activated by brief heating to ~140C (212F) for 10 min, which can be accomplished with an oven or heat gun. Parts with this treatment will absorb 99% of visible light, and have low outgassing properties. Contact us for an SDS.
Application: Customers must consult with NanoLab personnel before working with the paint to ensure good results and safe practices. We also offer part coating services. Coverage and Shelf Life
Singularity Black LT Aero is packaged in 1 gallon steel cans, and have a 6 month shelf life in its unopened state. Store sealed in a humidity-controlled area at room temperature or below. Coverage is 0.65cm2/ml. A 1 gallon quantity covers a panel 50x50cm, or 2.7ft2. Certificate of conformance is available for each lot.
Safety: When Singularity is sprayed through an air brush, the aerosolized particles contain the polymeric binder, the carbon nanotubes and the fugitive solvent. These polymer-bound particles should not pose a health risk, but caution is warranted with any new material. Droplet sizes we have measured are typically larger than 5 microns, but other sprayers may differ in aerosolization. A respirators with a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) rating of P95 or greater have been shown to prevent the inhalation of CNTs under normal breathing conditions, and is mandatory safety equipment. The properties of nanotubes are not yet well understood, so use caution.
