Ultrasonic Probe Dispersion Equipment: QS4 systemThe QS4 is a 600W, 20kHz ultrasonic probe for the dispersion of nanotubes, nanowires, and nanoparticles in liquids. A user can save 10 program sequences, or operate in a manual mode with adjustable pulse length, output amplitude, and time. The unit features a touch screen display, overload protection, self diagnostics, and is self tuning. The QS4 system comes with a 6 ft cord to allow the transducer and probe to be placed in a fume hood or glove box, while the generator remains outside.

Sound EnclosureWe recommend this for the QS4 system, especially if the system will not be placed in a fume hood or other enclosure. The enclosure reduces noise to safe levels, and provides a first line of defense against airborne particulate. The dimensions of the enclosure are 23"x14.5"x12”.

Cup Horn ProbeThe cup horn turns the QS4 system into a high intensity ultrasonic water bath. Cooling water can either be static, or can be flowed through the cup during sonication of your samples. Samples can be placed in sealed tubes or vials, and immersed in the bath. This is useful for samples that are temperature sensitive. The bath construction is acrylic, and has a 5.5” inner diameter. Within is a 2.5” diameter titanium probe tip.
